CCSD Recognizes Athletes of the Month for April
The Cherokee County School District recognizes two outstanding high school athletes each month.
Congratulations to this month’s winners: Female Athlete of the Month Zino Edet of Etowah High School for track, whose head coach is Garrett Hurlburt; and Male Athlete of the Month Sammy Erickson of Cherokee High School for baseball, whose head coach is Josh Thomas.
Congratulations to the honorees and their coaches and thank you to our School Board for its continued investment in student athletics!
Outstanding student athletes are nominated by their high schools, and a committee selects an overall winner. The winners receive a T-shirt sponsored by BSN, a certificate and recognition on CCSD’s athletics website and social media.
